Environment Sunday

Before the Rector went away on holiday, we held a joint Environment Sunday service here in St Mary’s, with readers from both churches, and the organist, Neil who played for us. It was lovely to see so many of our friends from St John’s in church with us. And there was cake with the coffee afterwards, and lots of fellowship.

Part of the service was the creation of a prayer tree.

Green Prayer Tree

Uniformed Organisations Service 23rd February

We were delighted to welcome the Scouts and Guides to St Mary’s for their Founder’s Day/Thinking Day service, the first time they have visited us since pre-COVID. It was good to see the church so full of young people and their parents and leaders. It was also an opportunity to give out some of the guidebooks which were printed when we had the Lottery Funding. Both organisations renewed their promises during the service.
